Our Vision
Ensemble Da Capo is a Sydney-based wind ensemble devoted to providing opportunities for tertiary students in performance, composition and conducting. We rehearse and perform distinguished repertoire as well as providing a platform for new Australian compositions with a focus on inclusion and cllaboration.

Ensemble Da Capo rehearses weekly at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music. We produce a fantastic performance at the end of each semester that features two world premieres of selected local composers. Members have the opportunity to develop their instrumental skills in this ensemble working with a number of skilled conductors.
Each semester our panel reviews submissions from local composers. The panel will select two composers from this process to write an original work for Ensemble Da Capo. Finalists will then have the opportunity to participate in composer-performer workshops with the full ensemble. These compositions will be performed at biannual performances.
Another opportunity Ensemble Da Capo offers to musicians is our conducting workshops. Noted guest conductors are invited to attend a rehearsal to provide professional development for individuals interested in developing their conducting skills. All applicants must sign up before attending the workshop.
